Concrete Driveway Cleaning Options – Pressure Wash or Soft Wash or Power Wash

Pressure Wash Driveway Cleaning
When it comes to driveway cleaning, most home-owners - and companies - use a cold-water pressure washer to clean the concrete driveway’s surface.
Unfortunately, this only removes the top layer of dirt for a season. Pressure washing will NOT KILL bacteria on the surface of your concrete driveway.
Pressure washing your driveway every year with this method causes more damage than good. Cement isn’t designed to have that much pressure applied annually, so this method can cause damage such as etching and deterioration.
OPTION 2:
Touchless Soft Wash Driveway Cleaning
The Soft Wash process relies on biodegradable chemicals to kill bacteria that is on the surface such as mold and algae. It also uses biodegradable detergents which are gentle but also thoroughly clean the surface.
This process on its’ own does a great job, but often needs to be combined with a deeper cleaning such as hot power washing.
OPTION 3:
Hot Power Washing Driveway Cleaning
Most companies don’t offer this service because of the initial cost of the equipment, staff training and time it takes to maintain properly. Because of the hot water temperatures that can reach up to 200 degrees, it does a deeper cleaning than cold water pressure washers and puts less stress on the concrete surface because the process is quicker.
A good example to compare to would be your dishwasher… When was the last time your ran your dishwasher to remove food, stains and grease only using cold water?
In the end, this is our preferred method of cleaning when using high water pressure. It is also a necessary step for opening the pores in the concrete readying for the sealing process.

Concrete Sealing Service
Many of our local competitors use acrylic based sealers, or big box store sealers. Although they are a common solution, they don’t meet our strict requirements. They are difficult to apply, need yearly maintenance, don’t last, requires long drying times, and start to fade and become blotchy after a short period.
In the beginning we tried some of the products, but they all failed and caused issues, so we only use one product made for our company that is guaranteed and lasts 5 years.
We are constantly fixing projects from other vendors that use inferior products, and the costs to repair a bad seal job can cost more than 4x’s the cost of sealing it right the first time. It is heartbreaking to see some of the horrible results from unqualified vendors using inferior products and processes.

Our Concrete Sealing 3-Step Process
First, we provide a Touchless SoftWash process which kills bacteria on the top surface.
Second, we provide a Hot Power wash solution with water temperatures that reach up to 200 degrees and allows surfaces to be cleaned faster, causing less friction to the surface. This is a deep cleaning which opens the pores for sealing process.
The third and final step is applying our water penetrating sealer solution. Our 100% biodegradable sealer solution penetrates the surface, and chemically reacts to create a gel that fills the open pores of the concrete which hardens the surface, thus protecting your driveway’s concrete better - and for longer.
